Cookie Policy

Cookies and local storage keep you signed in, remember your promo code and tell us which case files are worth improving. This page lists every category we use.

01What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We also use localStorage, which works similarly but is not sent with every request. Both are covered by this policy.

02Strictly necessary

These cannot be switched off. They keep your session alive, remember your cookie choice, hold your checkout state and protect forms against abuse. Typical lifetime: session to 12 months.

03Preference

These remember your promo code and interface choices so you do not have to set them again. Typical lifetime: 12 months. Declining them only means re-entering those settings.

04Analytics

Optional and consent-based. Aggregated measurement of which pages and investigation stages people use, so we can improve the case file format. Data is aggregated and never used to build advertising profiles. Typical lifetime: 13 months.

05No advertising cookies

We do not run advertising, retargeting or affiliate tracking cookies. Our business model is paid research, so there is nothing to gain from tracking you across other websites.

06Managing your choice

The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept all cookies or keep only the essential ones. You can change your mind by clearing site data in your browser, which makes the banner appear again. Browser settings also let you block or delete cookies entirely, though blocking strictly necessary cookies will break checkout and sign-in.

07Third parties

Cookies may be set by our hosting provider for security and load balancing, and by our analytics provider when you consent. Payment providers may set their own cookies once card, PayPal and Stripe payments go live.
